Dr. Greg LeClair

Greg LeClair is the President and Executive Director of Maine Big Night. Greg started MBN in 2018 during his senior year of his undergraduate degree, and has since continued leading the project. Under his direction, the project has received national and international recognition in news outlets, multiple awards, published multiple peer-reviewed publications, inspired childrens’ books, and can be credited with assisting over fifteen thousand amphibians across the road.

Greg grew up in Maine and received his PhD in Ecology from the University of Maine in 2024 studying conservation genetics of Wood Turtles and Canada Lynx. He holds a BS in Wildlife Biology with a minor in Environmental Education and Interpretation and is a certified Associate Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society.
