Board Secretary
Mae brings a blend of financial rigor, nonprofit insight, and deep personal commitment to amphibian conservation. She holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University and has built an extensive career in governmental and nonprofit finance. Recently transitioning into fundraising, Mae now serves as Director of Development for the Wendell Gilley Museum of Bird Carving, located on Mount Desert Island. A dedicated volunteer with Maine Big Night for the past three years, Mae has spent her rainy spring nights ferrying hundreds of frogs and salamanders across roads so they can safely reach their vernal ponds. Her enthusiasm for amphibians has skyrocketed since discovering MBN—so much so that she planned a Costa Rica trip around finding a glass frog (she saw two) and now chooses future vacation spots based on where she can observe species she’s never encountered.
As a board member, Mae is excited to pair her financial expertise with her growing development experience to strengthen Maine Big Night’s long‑term sustainability and expand its impact for amphibians worldwide.
