Welcome to Maine Big Night! We’re thrilled that you’re interested in joining our dedicated team of volunteers working to protect amphibians during their migration. Anybody who can safely be in a road and complete our certification process can participate in our project. Here’s a simple guide on how you can get certified to participate:
- Complete the online training.
- Pass the certification quiz.
- Sign our waiver.
- Acquire safety gear.
- Become certified.
- Adopt a site!
Don’t want to get certified? No problem! If you sign a waiver and wear the required high-visibility vest and flashlight, you can participate with a certified volunteer. If you don’t personally know a certified volunteer, you can reach out to us and let us know what site you’d like to join (see the site adoption page for a list of sites where certified volunteers are open to others joining).
