Road Mortality Monitoring and Prevention

Since the start of the project, volunteers have taken to the streets on rainy spring nights to record data on amphibian migrations and help them cross roads when they can. This data forms the basis for all of our other research projects, and volunteers come from all walks of life.

So far, MBN has moved over 20,000 amphibians across the road safely. Without the help of volunteers, it’s likely that thousands of these frogs and salamanders would not have made it!
